Mission

The Baptist student ministry at El Paso exists to love and encourage college-aged people in our city to become passionate followers of Jesus Christ. We accomplish through our core four values: evangelism, discipleship, church life, and missions.

Function

While we are not a church and do not claim responsibility as a substitute for the local church in the life of a student, the BSM’s goal is to act as a strong asset in its reach to the very dark and lost context of the college campus. We believe our mission is never finished, as every student on every campus in El Paso needs Jesus more than anything else.

Our building is open every day of the week, to serve students with things to meet needs varying from snacks and drinks, to quiet spaces for studying, to our staff who makes themselves available for any conversation regarding spiritual matters.

message

The Gospel message of Christ coming to earth to save sinful men both empowers our mission and is the sole object capable of bringing those who are spiritually dead to new life. We commit to and pray that this message will forever remain at the center of our focus as a ministry.

For those who have been saved and set free by Christ, we hope that you will consider joining us in sharing with the campuses of El Paso. For those who are not yet saved, we would love to simply get to know you, and do life with you, even outside of religious context. That is what our building is for, and you are always welcome.
